: Wtf is with the OTTB obsession?
Last time I checked, modern Thoroughbred legs are shit, and horses straight off the track are fucking insane, not to mention the only thing they’ve learned is how to break from a gate. Why would you want one for showing/eventing?

The word ignorant about covers it. There’s much more to Thoroughbreds and there’s a hell of a lot to the people that love them and re-train them to be useful once they’re off the track.
That is really ignorant. I personally don’t like them because of a bad fall I had off of one…but that doesn’t mean they’re bad horses. All horses have the capability to be trained and be safe.
All I used to ride was OTTBs. Some of the best horses I’ve ever sat on. No they are not for everyone and yes some are always going to be hot but they are wonderful horses for certain riders.
my friends IMPORTED MADE WARMBLOOD is more hot than my OTTB…. so idk what you’re talking about it depends on the horse..and the rider.
